Harmony With Others

Simply said, stay in harmony with your true self which is pure love. Radiate love where ever you are and stop worrying about what others think of you and whether they like you or not.  Like I have said before, it is none of your business what others think of you.  Be happy, make your life enjoyable, stop judging, and accept others for where they are in this stage of life even when you may not like where they are.  Think only about yourself and how you can radiate more harmony into this world.  Harmony attracts more harmony.  ~ Kathyann.

Coffee Time – Appreciate Nature

Good afternoon friends.  Hope you are all doing well.  I invite you to join me for a cup of coffee this afternoon as we discuss the subject of nature and gratitude.coffee 2

May I say, if you do not have a loving concern for Nature in which you dwell, it’s time to wake up.  Nature is the reason you are alive and you need to begin caring for it, respecting it, and giving gratitude for it.

Nature provides for us in so many ways….

1.  Enjoyment, Relaxation, Peace
Simply walking on the beach while watching the sunset, sunrise, or the moon provides you the opportunity to unwind and reflect on what is happening in your life and whether a change is necessary.  I encourage you to make the time to go to the beach by yourself early morning or late into the evening or night when there are not so many people around. Engage all of your senses:

— Walk and look around.  Notice the beauty of the sun as it rises or sets, take in the beauty of the moon as it provides light, watch the waves as they roll in and out to shore, notice the bounty of water there, or watch the birds as they gracefully fly around.

— Smell the air and allow it to absorb your problems and carry them away.

— Feel the wind or air as it touches your body.  Put your feet in the water and feel the wonder as the water moves about you.  Bathe in the water under the beauty of the light of the moon.

If the beach is not to your liking, give it another chance with an open mind and I believe you too will see the beauty and reap the benefits it provides.  If you prefer, the mountains or a meadow as they can both provide the same benefits – they are truly breath-taking and provide such peace as well.

2.  Food and Medicine
Mother nature has provided you with food to survive and always will.  It doesn’t matter which foods you prefer over others.  They all have an element that has been derived by Mother Earth.  Along with the animals, the plants, flowers, and trees all provide us food to eat.  Additionally, there are many natural elements in them that are meant to be used for medicinal purposes.  These are natural medicines that your body can tolerate unlike pharmaceutical medicine that destroys.

3. Oxygen
We are given the oxygen we need to breathe through the air.  Our bodies need the oxygen and it is so freely given to us.  You can thank the trees and plants for this.

4. Water
Ahhh, wonderful water so freely given to us by Mother Nature.  Stop and think about all the ways you use water and then give gratitude to her for it.  You would not be alive without it.

walking in natureLet’s all participate in showing respect for Mother Nature, look around and appreciate her beauty. Thank the tress for the fruit they give us, thank the flowers for the happiness they bring us, thank the herbs for making our food taste better, thank the water for making us feel clean and hydrated, etc.

Where Do You Look For Yourself

Have you ever found yourself?

Do you ever wonder who you are?

Ever wonder why you are?

To find the answers to these questions, you must look inside your beautiful self.  Really, there is no other way.

Do you know that the heart is the very first organ grown in a fetus?  This is because the heart holds all life.

With that being said, you will not find yourself outside of your heart.

As the song goes, “I was looking for love in all the wrong places.”  Love is all there is and it is all inside you.  In order to give love, you must love yourself first and then you can pass it on in a healthy and unconditional manner.

So how do you find yourself?  Meditation – focus on your heart with complete intention on seeing what is in there, believe you will see yourself as you close your eyes and turn off your mind.  Breathe slowly and deeply and with each breath, you will travel to “all that is”.

He who looks on the outside continues to dream and just exist.  He who looks inside himself, finds the reality of life and awakens to living life in the most wonderful manner and is not afraid to make changes necessary for his and humanity’s growth.

I encourage you to go find yourself.

Do You Think You Want a Dog?

Little SandyAre you thinking you’d like to have a dog?  If so, that’s wonderful.   Because of their inherent nature, a dog will love you more than you will ever love it.  They are amazing creatures and deserve the respect they give to us.  However, I wish you to understand that taking care of a dog is similar to taking care of a child.  It is nothing to take on with a care-free attitude.  You must be responsible for ensuring it has FRESH food and water and make sure the containers you feed it out of are clean. Bathe them – they feel good like you do after you’ve had a bath.  Brush their hair and teeth.  Make sure they have a comfortable clean bed to rest and sleep on.  Potty train them with dignity and don’t hit them.   Play with them they love your attention.  Simply put, love them the way you would want to be loved and care for and please, please, please don’t leave them in a dirty backyard or cage or in the heat and cold.  Think how you would feel if you lived like that.

Now, from a dog’s perspective:

  • “My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you will be painful for me. Remember that before you bring me home.
  • Give me time to understand what you want from me.
  • Place your trust in me – it’s crucial to my well-being.
  • Don’t be angry at me for long and don’t lock me up as punishment. You may have your work, your entertainment and your friends. I have only you.
  • Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don’t understand your words, I understand your voice.
  • Be aware that however you treat me, I’ll never forget.
  • Remember before you hit me that I have teeth that can crush the bones of your hand. Yet I choose not to bite you.
  • Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I’m not getting the right food, or I’ve been in the sun too long, or my heart is getting old and weak.
  • Take care of me when I get old. You, too, will grow old.
  • Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, “I can’t bear to watch it” or “Let it happen in my absence.” Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember I love you.”

There are many dogs out there that need homes.  I hope you find the one that suits your lifestyle and home.  Just remember to treat them the way you would want to be treated and loved. ~ Kathyann.

Cherish Your Home

I enjoy so much seeing old homes cared for and cherished.  Especially Victorian era homes since they were initially built with so much detail, craftsmanship, pride and love.  It takes a lot of work to keep them up but they are so well worth it in the end and such a beautiful gift to hand down to your family generation after generation.victorian home

Coffee Time – Valentine’s Day – Open Your Heart

It’s that time again, time for a wonderful cup of coffee.  Please pour yourself a cup of your favorite coffee, grab something sweet to munch on and let’s talk about opening your heart.  coffee and valentines cookieIt is almost Valentine’s Day and so it’s time to open your heart to the beauty of yourself, your world, your loved ones, and all others.  There is no better time to love ALL THAT IS than the present NOW time. Allow the world to see the beauty and love you have within yourself. Practice spending time in the NOW moment every day and remember that the NOW moment is every moment.  Focus your attention on loving yourself, others, Mother Earth, the animals, the flowers, trees, plants, etc.  Open your heart and let the love of your TRUE self flow out into the world and leave a trail of exciting change for others to follow.

Love yourself this Valentine’s Day – give yourself a special gift, indulge in something that excites you and makes you happy – follow your bliss.  After all, you must be able to love yourself before you can love others. ~ Kathyann

Every Event on Earth

Every event on earth is a product of the collective energy of all humans. All natural disasters, epidemics and wars – all negativity is created by the unified interaction of all of earth’s beings. We as individuals and as a mass have total control over everything that happens in our existence.  If we hate, offend, demean, fight, etc., even think these things – they will manifest in our lives and the world as a whole. So let’s expand our consciousness by living in light, love, and peace. Think wonderful positive thoughts for others and the world, including Mother Earth as she so generously provides for us.we are all in this together

Coffee Time – Resolutions

Good morning friends.  I hope each of you had wonderful Holidays and as you are settling in and getting ready to start back to normal daily life activities, I invite you to join me for a glorious cup of coffee as we speak about New Resolutions. Your thoughts and comments are always welcome here as this blog is not a one way street.  My hope is that my thoughts help you and I am sure your thoughts will help me so please feel free to share your thoughts.  

With the New Year 2014 upon us, many have already made their New Year’s Resolutions while others are still contemplating on which ones they will agree to. As, I previously mentioned in another article, these types of resolutions are wonderful for growth; however, I believe one should evaluate themselves and make new resolutions on a more constant basis than once a year.  Below are six resolutions I believe will help anyone who is really interested in changing their life for the better.  Now, I want you to understand that making new resolutions is not an overnight process.  You must agree mentally, emotionally, physically, and in every other way that you really do want these and make the effort and allow the time for them to come to pass.

2014 love, light, and laughter

First, you must take time for yourself on a daily basis for these to work.  Each morning before beginning your day, stand in front of a mirror, look at yourself and repeat the resolutions as listed below.  Throughout the day, remember bits and pieces of the resolutions and say them in your mind.  These must be spoken to yourself with absolute “I AM” authority.

1.  I approve of myself, my characteristics, my abilities, my likes and my dislikes, my inclinations and dis-inclinations, realizing that these form my unique individuality and I can change them at any time.

2.  I approve of and rejoice in my accomplishments, and I am as vigorous in listing these, as rigorous in remembering them as I have ever been in remembering and enumerating my failures or lacks of accomplishment.

3.  I remember the creative framework of existence, in which I have my being. Therefore the possibilities, potentials, seeming miracles, and joyful spontaneity remain in my mind, so that the doors to creative living remain open.

4.  I realize that the future is a probability. In terms of ordinary experience, nothing exists there yet. It is virgin territory, planted by my feelings and thoughts in the present…Therefore, I plant accomplishments and successes, and I do this by remembering that nothing can exist in the future that I do not want to be there.

5.  I know that the past is not gone.  It is continually with me as part of my being and will always be a part of my present and future.  All three are one NOW moment.  I can change the past by altering events that did not serve me or others well by changing the event in my mind, heart, and soul and replacing it with one that serves the best for all involved.

6.  I am positive at all times, every where, in all situations, and with all around me. Only positive thoughts are created in my mind and heart and only positive words are spoken from my mouth.
